For one, it&#8217;s been through the equivalent of Hell and back, and the MBTA is trying to bring it back out of Hell again. It&#8217;s here that the two least-used stations on the line (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2023\/03\/19\/green-st-orange-line\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4574\">Green St.<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2023\/03\/19\/stony-brook-orange-line\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4594\">Stony Brook<\/a>), going through a cut-out trench into Roxbury and towards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2022\/10\/02\/ruggles-orange-line\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2756\">Northeastern University<\/a>. From here, past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2023\/03\/19\/massachusetts-ave-orange-line\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4582\">Massachusetts Avenue<\/a>, the line goes into a tunnel through diesel hell and various downtown stations (inc. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2023\/03\/19\/tufts-medical-center-orange-line\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4598\">Tufts Medical<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2023\/01\/18\/chinatown-orange-line\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"3722\">Chinatown<\/a>), coming back onto the surface past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2023\/03\/04\/north-station-mbta-amtrak\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4246\">North Station<\/a>. This section, Haymarket North, was built in the &#8217;70s and replaced the Charlestown Elevated and is very BRUTAL in architecture style. Nubian, however they demolished and eventually replaced with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseascorner.org\/index.php\/2022\/10\/15\/sl4-sl5-south-station-nubian-and-downtown-crossing-nubian-and-associated-street-stops\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"3034\">the SL4 and SL5<\/a>. Also, it&#8217;s got history associated with it and has a number of connections to the NEC and Haverhill Line.<br><br>The bad: Seymour! The Orange Line is on fire! Yeah, the Orange Line&#8217;s got a bit of a shaky recent history with rolling stock, namely with the Hawkers failing catastrophically and the CRRCs having quality control issues, mostly stemming from any lack of regard from the Springfield factory&#8217;s management.<br><br>Nearby points of interest: A lot! TD Garden is above North Station, while BHCC and Malden&#8217;s town center are within reach, along with Northeastern and the Arborway.<br><br>Overall, the Orange Line is good. There&#8217;s a lot of history and I think it deserves to be treated a little better.
